Why GNOME Sucks
Today I’d like to draw your attention to a great blog post written by my good friend Armin. It’s about what can go wrong in Linux desktop development these days. He refers specifically to the very popular GNOME desktop environment. I recommend reading this post if you’re interested in what a true UNIX nerd has to say on the subject.
I really enjoyed using GNOME myself over 20 years ago, but I’ve been using the Awesome Window Manager for at least 15 years. It allows me to work efficiently and quickly without being distracted by unnecessary things. Furthermore, I have 100% control over all settings and am never surprised by anything unexpected.
GNOME just sucks nowadays!
